Michigan Mountain Cats 1 @ Toledo Cherokee 0: Walker Bass came into the night looking for his first shutout of the season and after turning away 44 shots in a outstanding road performance he got it in a 1-0 victory over the Toldeo Cherokee. The Cherokee tested the Michigan goaltender early and often including 16 shots in the first period. The Mountain Cats would receive the only goal they would need during the 2nd period while on the power play when John Arms lit the lamp on an assist from Guy Soulliere. The rest was left to Bass who turned away 28 shots in the final two periods to secure the shutout. In the other crease it was Toledo goaltender Nate Gay who surrendered only the power play goal and stopped 27 shots in defeat. Boxscore

Twin City Steel 3 @ Alexandria Blizzard 2: Jace Childs scored a goal shorthanded and on the power play in the first period to pace the Twin City steel to a 3-2 victory over the Alexandria Blizzard. Childs struck first down a man on an unassisted effort to give the Steel a 1-0 lead. He found the net again later in the period with assists from Ben Ihrie and Zach Randell to take a two-goal lead into the first intermission. Calvin Miska gave the Steel a three-goal advantage when he scored unassisted less then five minutes into the middle frame. The Blizzard received two goals late in the 2nd period but that was all the offense they could muster past Twin City goaltender Jackson Germaine. Germaine ended the night with 41 saves to pick up the win. Alexandria forward Joe Anderson had a goal and an assist to lead the Blizzard offensive totals. Boxscore

Granite City Lumberjacks 2 @ North Iowa Bulls 4: The North Iowa Bulls continue win hockey games in all types of ways as they came back from two goals scoring four straight to stun the Granite City Lumberjacks 4-2. Three minutes into the first period Mitchell Gwost got Granite City on the board for a 1-0 lead that they would hold for the rest of the period until the first intermission. It was Granite City who found the back of the net again this time from Morgan Martelle 7:12 into the middle frame. It took the Bulls a mere 16 seconds to respond this time when Ian Penvose scored the first of two to cut the Granite City lead in half. With the clock winding down in the 2nd period Dylan Zins found the net tying the game for North Iowa. It was then Penvose again scoring a minute and a half after Zins to claim the lead for North Iowa. Richie Marenis would add an insurance marker into the empty net in to seal the victory for North Iowa. Boxscore

Breezy Point North Stars 4 @ Wisconsin Whalers 7: Tim Tarvis scored four straight goals for the Wisconsin Whalers to lead an offensive outburst as they beat the Breezy Point North Stars 7-4. Breezy Point got out to an early advantage with goals from Jon Plascsz and Russell Barone before Tarvis went on his goal-scoring burst. The first Tarvis goal came at 17:29 into the 1st period cutting the lead down to one for the Whalers. Tarvis then started the 2nd period with a natural hat trick within the first seven minutes of the period. Adam Alcott and Zack Johnson would finish up the middle frame with goals for the Whalers. The seventh straight Wisconsin goal found the back of the net to start the 3rd and was followed by two Breezy Point goals but the Whalers lead was too large to catch. Zack Johnson was the other offensive catalyst for Wisconsin as he added four assists to his goal giving him five points on the night. Boxscore
