Jr. Blues defenseman Roeder called up by NAHL's Jets
January 9, 2014
St. Louis Jr. Blues defenseman Adam Roeder has received a weekend call-up to play for the NAHL’s Janesville Jets.
This is Roeder's second call-up to the Jets this season and he has already signed a tender to play for Janesville in 2014-15. Roeder will join the Jets in Janesville to practice with them before heading to Michigan for a two-game set with the Michigan Warriors.
On December 31st, Roeder was named the NA3HL’s Central Division Star of the Week. The 17-year-old native of Ballwin, Missouri, is one of the team leaders in plus/minus with a +18 rating and is second in defensive scoring with 23 points.
“Adam is so good offensively, and when you combine that with his responsible play on the defensive end, you get one heck of a defenseman,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “He is never satisfied and is always working hard to become a better hockey player.”
Roeder has played three games with the Jets this season and has no points. He is one of over three dozen NA3HL alumni that is currently playing in the NAHL this season.
