Friday Finals: Steel, Bulls and Whalers win
North Iowa Bulls 5 @ Alexandria Blizzard 3 – The usual suspects led the Bulls to a road win over the Blizzard. Richie Marenis had two goals and two assists, Tim Santopoalo had two goals and an assist and Kurt Halbach also scored to help the Bulls to another win, as they outshot Alexandria, 44-19. Danny Pelzer scored for the Blizzard and Bo Gronseth had two assists. Boxscore
Breezy Point North Stars 3 @ Twin City Steel 8 – The Steel jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the 1st period and never looked back in an 8-3 win over Breezy Point. Sam Basich and Calvin Miska each scored twice for the Steel and other goals came from Tanner Duffney, Isaac Hale, Zach Randell and Jace Childs. Breezy Point goals came from Mitch Pierson, Russel Barone and Crosby Steen. Boxscore
Cincinnati Swords 2 @ Wisconsin Whalers 3 (OT) – Zack Johnson scored 3:30 into overtime to lift the Whalers to a 3-2 come-from-behind win. Nikita Korotkov and RJ Marshall scored in the 1st period to give the Swords a 2-0 lead. However, Wisconsin score two 3rd period goals for force overtime from Ryan Martin and Tim Tarvis. Michael Marcinek made 27 saves in the win, while Alec Rounds made 30 saves in the loss. Boxscore
