Dallas, St. Louis and North Iowa round out Silver Cup field

Dallas 4 @ Topeka 3 (OT) (Dallas wins best of three series, 2-1) – Dallas takes home the victory with a 4-3 win over Topeka to move on to the Silver Cup. Topeka’s Alex Sauer gets the first goal of the night with assists coming from Jaydn Munnelly and Connor Nicholas. Shortly after Dallas’ Alex MacInnis ties the game up with an assist from Niko Jansen. In the 2nd, Dallas’ Alex MacInnis grabs his second goal of the night with an assist from Zaragoza. Topeka counters with a goal from Jaydn Munnelly to get things back to even. Before the period ends, Dallas gets back on top with a power play goal from Blake McIntyre. In the 3rd period, Hardijs Kupaks ties it up for Topeka on a power play goal. In OT, Blake McIntyre gets the game winner for Dallas to push them past Topeka and on to the Silver Cup. Chris Mallon gets the win in net with 31 saves. Boxscore

St. Louis 3 @ Peoria 1 (St. Louis wins best of three series, 2-1) – There was a big crowd tonight with 749 in attendance. In the first period the game stays tied at zero, but in the 2nd, St. Louis gets on the board first with a power play goal from Adam Roeder. The assists on the goal come from Lozano and Klaesner. St. Louis adds a second power play goal from Mike Lozano to go up 2-0. In the 3rd period, Maxwell Cobb gets an unassisted goal to put St. Louis up 3-0. Peoria manages to get one on the board with a goal from Brendan Murphy but it just wasn’t enough. Nathan Chasteen gets the assist on the play. St. Louis will move on to the Silver Cup. Cooper Cothran gets the win with 24 saves. Boxscore

Granite City 5 @ North Iowa 9 (North Iowa wins best of three series, 2-1) – With 1,249 people in attendance tonight the North Iowa Bulls move on to the Silver Cup with a 9-5 win over Granite City. The 1st period was all North Iowa tonight scoring 4 goals. The first goal came from Tim Santopoalo followed by Brandon Anderson, Rihards Marenis, and Sam Naegele. The assists coming from 6 different players including Marenis, Jonasson, Santopoalo, Kroska, Iverson, and Jones. In the 2nd, Granite City gets its first goal of the night from Drew Otto on a power play with the assists coming from Gabrielsen and Verbeke. North Iowa adds another four goals in the second with two coming from Marenis and the others from Kroska and Iverson. Granite City adds on another two from Drew Otto for his second of the night and Horsmann on a power play putting the game at 8-3 by periods end. In the 3rd, North Iowa gets one more from Iverson for his second of the night. Granite City gets 2 more from Kothenbeutel and Phenow. Chris Amsden gets the win in net with 36 saves. Boxscore
