Below is an official statement from Coach Jonasson:
“I am excited to be given the opportunity to be involved in the Helena Bighorns organization. Helena has had an outstanding reputation the last 10+ years with Scott Cunningham at the helm, and I look forward to helping build and continue the traditions that he has created in Helena. By stepping in as coach in Helena I have no plan to fill Scott’s shoes, as I am not the same coach. My plan is to continue the tradition of player development, advancement and winning standards that he has left for the next coach to take over. I wish Scott and his family the best of luck in Brooks in pursuing his future in coaching at the next level! My family are I are looking forward to taking the next step in our future in Helena and making it our new home”- Jon Jonasson, Head Coach, Helena Bighorns
