Saturday Scores: Wolves get first win

Wisconsin 1 @ West Michigan 2 – In tonight’s low scoring game, West Michigan gets the win over Wisconsin two to one. In the 1st period, Wisconsin gets on the board first with a goal from Thomas Hanson and the assist coming from Joe Perrelle. Before the period is over, the Wolves Michael Tratar gets a goal with the assist coming from Brandon Benaglio. Late in the 3rd period, the Wolves get the go ahead goal from Alex Olsen. Hunter Vorva gets the win in net for the Wolves with 37 saves. Boxscore

Cincinnati 2 @ Southern Tier 5 – Andrew Bond gets the scoring started off for Cincinnati in the first with assists from Anderson and Andriaccio. The Xpress get their first goal of the night late in the period from Jake Wasem. In the 2nd, Chris Hubbard gets the only goal of the period for the Xpress to put them up 2-0. In the 3rd period, Cincinnati gets on the board first to tie the game up at two a piece with a goal from Bond. The Xpress add another two goals both coming from Wasem to give him a hat trick on the night. The last goal comes from Justin Andriaccio to close the game out at 5 to 2. Tyler Geloneck gets the win in net with 15 saves. Boxscore

Alexandria 8 @ Breezy Point 5 – In this high scoring game, the Blizzard get the win over Breezy Point eight to five. Seyia Hayata gets the early goal in the first period for Breezy Point on the power play. Jordan Carey gets the 2nd of three goals in the first of Breezy point shortly after. The Blizzard counter with a goal from Jody Randall on the power play and Sean Viti gets the 3rd goal from Breezy Point before the period comes to an end. In the 2nd, Alexandria tacks on another three goals coming from Eric Hewitt, Jody Randall, and Nathan Scofield. In the 3rd period, six goals were tacked on the board with four coming from the Blizzard and two coming from Breezy Point. Mettenburg, Randall, and Sworsky scored for the Blizzard and Costello and Viti scored for Breezy Point. Evan Bisek got the win in net with 31 saves. Boxscore

Cleveland 0 @ Pittsburgh 5 – This game was all Pittsburgh on the board. Starting the scoring off in the 1st period was Robert Ferrari, with assists from Antill and Glavach. Leo Blore scored on the power play for the 2nd goal of the evening with assists from Speis and White. In the 2nd, Eli Lynn score on the power play for Pittsburgh with assists from Cummings and Markgren. Leo Blore scored again shortly after for his 2nd goal of the night. In the 3rd, Michael Straub got a power play goal with assists coming from Cummings and Markgren. Kevin OShea, gets the shutout in net with 20 saves. Boxscore

Minnesota 1 @ Granite City 6 – Granite City gets the win over Minnesota tonight six to one. There was no scoring in the first. In the 2nd period, Minnesota’s Victor Lombardi scores the first and only goal of the night for them. Mutschelknaus gets the assist on the play, and after that it was all Granite City. David Kenney gets the first goal from Granite City followed by Brady Bernhardson. In the 3rd period, Granite City put four more points on the board with goals coming from David Horsemann, Zach Voss, Dallas Marvin, and Tobias Gabrielsen. Jesse Garcia gets the win in net with 13 saves. Boxscore

Chicago 1 @ St. Louis 3 – The Jr. Blues get the win in tonight’s low scoring game, three to one. In the 1st period, St. Louis gets on the board first with a goal from Alex Klaesner and the assist coming from Tommy Heinzman. In the 2nd period, St. Louis gets their second goal of the night from Daniel Dunaway. Andrew Wingbermuehle gets the assist on the play. In the 3rd period, Chicago gets their only point of the night with the goal coming from Even Mitchell with Taylor Hamilton getting the assist on the play. St. Louis gets the last goal of the night coming from Tommy Heinzman with assists from Alex Klaesner and Zane OBryan. Boxscore

Peoria 4 @ La Crosse 3 – Peoria puts the first point on the board with a goal from Thomas Kolaz with an assist from Joe Power Wayvon. The second goal for Peoria comes from Chance Homerin on the power play with assists from Kolaz and Scofield. In the 2nd, Austin Wisely gets the third goal of the night for Peoria with assists coming from Armstrong and Homerin. In the 3rd period, La Crosse gets their first goal of the night from Jared Bromberg on the power play. Halfway through the 3rd, La Crosse gets their second goal from Jacob Drinkard. Late in the period, Kai Barber gets the go ahead goal for Peoria with an assist from Marshall Gevers. La Crosse gets one more goal from Chris Skordillis but it wasn’t enough. Marc Hayton gets the win in net for Peoria with 35 saves. Boxscore

Sugar Land 7 @ Texas 2 – Sugar Land comes out on top with a big seven to two win over Texas tonight. Sugar land starts the scoring off with a goal from Kyle Cedrone and Texas counters with a goal from Zac Flachman shortly after. Halfway through the 1st, Sugar Land adds on a second goal from Chandler Cole. Ryan James adds another for Sugar land with an unassisted goal and Texas grabs one more before the period is over with a goal from Jon Grimm. In the 2nd, Frank Muscarella gets the only goal of the period with a power play goal for Sugar land. In the 3rd, Sugar Land adds three more goals. Scoring for Sugar Land was Ryan Meyer, Matthew Jung, and Kyle Cedrone. Timothy Osullivan gets the win in net for the Imperials with 14 saves. Boxscore

Metro 1 @ Toledo 4 – Toledo gets the win tonight over Metro four to one. There was no scoring in the 1st period. In the 2nd, there was one goal and that came from Toldeo’s Cam Schwartz on the power play. Getting assists on the play were Dominic Pisanti and Zach Swanson. In the 3rd period, Toledo comes out quick with the first goal from Austin Turner with assists from Duncan and Heldt. Toledo then scores on a power play with the goal coming from Tyler Zalecki. The Metro Jets get their first and only goal of the night from Jacob Rutkoske. Aaron Roschinsky gets the last goal of the night for Toledo on an empty net.
