NA3EHL announces Easton Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Eastern Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Offensive and Defensive Stars of the Week presented by Easton Hockey for the week ending November 16, 2014. The Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2014-15 regular season that honors the top performing players, both offensively and defensively.
Offense: Anthony Merante, forward, Lockport Express
Merante, 19, was a difference maker in two games against league-rival Roc City this past weekend. The native of Niagara Falls, New York, tallied a goal and three assists in Friday's 7-4 victory and added two goals on Saturday to preserve the weekend sweep with a 6-3 win. For the season, the 6’0/175 lbs. forward ranks 2nd on the team in scoring with 29 points in 19 games played. His 29 points ranks 3rd in the NA3EHL in scoring.
Defense: Arthur Raevsky, defenseman, Jersey Shore Wildcats
Raevsky, 20, traded in his stellar defensive play on Saturday and on Sunday put up five points in Jersey Shore 6-3 win over Syracuse to complete the weekend sweep. Arthur scored twice including the game-winner late in the first period and also added three assists. The 5’11/175 lbs. native of Belarus leads all NA3EHL defensemen in scoring so far this season with 27 points (9 goals, 18 assists) in 20 games played. He also leads the entire NA3EHL with four game-winning goals.
