NA3EHL announces Easton Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Eastern Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Offensive and Defensive Stars of the Week presented by Easton Hockey for the week ending December 21, 2014. The Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2014-15 regular season that honors the top performing players, both offensively and defensively.
Offense: Kevin Gruber, Jersey Shore Wildcats
Kevin Gruber (Merano, Italy) is a big player at 6’3/200 lbs., playing a huge role on a deep and talented Jersey Shore team that remained undefeated going into the Christmas Break. The Wildcats took on and handled a skilled Wilkes-Barre Miners team with 7-1 and 9-3 wins over the weekend. Kevin had points in both games, including the game-winner in Sunday’s 9-3 win. He had 2 points in each game scoring 2 goals and 2 assists during the series. He is 5th in scoring on the Wildcats with 11 goals and 27 points.
Defense: John Wise, Roc City Royals
John Wise is a hometown native (Rochester, NY) playing for the Roc City Royals and continues to show he is one of the league’s best Defensemen. The Royals grabbed 3 of 4 points on the weekend from the always tough to play Syracuse Stampede. Friday, John scored a goal in a 3-2 Shootout Loss and followed that up with 1 goal & 1 assist in a wild 8-5 win on Saturday.
