Lundstrom leads Billings to big New Year's Eve win

Great Falls 1 @ Billings 6 - A hat trick by Alex Lundstrom was the highlight in Bulls' 6-1 win against the Great Falls Americans. Lundstrom's first goal came 4:36 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:20 into the second and at 17:23 into the second. Great Falls was stymied by the Billings Bulls' netminder Cole Semchak, who stopped 41 shots during the victory. Semchak certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.41 entering the contest. Billings additionally got points from Steven Thompson, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Twin City 2 @ Alexandria 4 - The Alexandria Blizzard and the Twin City Steel were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Alexandria made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. The Blizzard gained the winning advantage on a goal by Bo Gronseth 19:08 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. Aaron Ryback had one goal and three assists to lead Alexandria. Ryback scored 19:28 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Alexandria. Gronseth provided the assist. Alexandria also got points from Jesse Norling, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Gronseth, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Alexandria also got a goal from Tyler Sworsky as well. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Trent Olson, Eric Hewitt, and Tom Schmidt, who contributed one each.
