Point Mallard beats Sugar Land on Monday, 5-1

Sugar Land 1 @ Point Mallard 5 - In a Monday morning game, the Point Mallard Ducks scored three goals in the second period to pull away from the Sugar Land Imperials and clinch a 5-1 win.
Point Mallard got the win with help from a great game by Josh Hamilton, who had one goal and two assists. Hamilton scored short handed 6:19 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Point Mallard. The Ducks were on a disadvantage when Justin Clark went off the ice for tripping. Brad Reitter picked up the assist.
Point Mallard's Aaron Brickman was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. Brickman certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.48 entering the contest.
Point Mallard kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Colton Anderson made 27 saves on 32 shots.
Point Mallard additionally got points from Jake Cox, who also registered one goal and one assist and Reitter, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Point Mallard also had goals scored by Chandler Brown and Jake Champaign, who each put in one. In addition, Point Mallard received assists from Jakob Hornsby, Noah Gilreath, Stephen Coulter, Justin Delisle, Chris Corgan, and Davis Hudson, who each chipped in one.
Sugar Land's lone goal came from Mason Smith.
