Twin City forward Wagner signs NAHL tender

April 24, 2015
The Twin City Steel, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Kyle Wagner has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings.  The Wings compete in the NAHL’s Central Division.

Wagner, 19, led the Steel in scoring during the 2014-15 regular season, gathering 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points. The 6’0”/185 lbs. forward from St. Francis, Minnesota had three multiple goal games and eight multiple point games in the 2014-15 season.

To open the 2014-15 season, Wagner scored in 10 of the first 11 games of the season as the Steel put together a 7-3-1 record to start the season.

"Kyle is a competitive forward with a good frame who likes to shoot the puck," said Mike Grattan, the Aberdeen Wings Director of Scouting. "We welcome him to our program."

Wagner is the first Steel player this season to sign an NAHL tender.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held in June 9, 2015.
