May 21, 2015
The Jersey Shore Wildcats of the NA3EHL have announced that defenseman Justin Apgar has committed to play NCAA hockey for Plymouth State University. Plymouth State is an NCAA Division III school that is a member of the MASCAC Conference.
Apgar, 20, had a great season for the Wildcats, who won both the NA3EHL regular season and playoff titles. The 6’3/220 lbs. native of Brick, New Jersey, had 22 points (6 goals, 16 assists) in 40 games played during the regular season and was even better in the playoffs, averaging almost a point per game with seven points in eight playoff games.
He was also named the NA3EHL Defensive Star of the Week back on February 10th as he had a big role in a weekend sweep of the New England Stars.
Plymouth State is coached by Craig Russell and the Panthers won the MASCAC post-season tournament and advanced to play in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
