Nashville goalie Ball makes college commitment

June 3, 2015
Nashville Jr. Predators NA3HL goalie Justin Ball has committed to ACHA Division I Robert Morris University-Il.

Ball, from Dallas, Texas, is a 6'5 left-catching goalie. He posted a dazzling 17-1 record for the Preds along with a 1.44 goals against average and a save percentage of .928.

Ball also played in the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the South Division Team.  His remarkable season was good enough to earn him many awards during the 2014-15 season, including the South Division Goalie of the Year.  He was also named to the NA3HL All-Rookie 2nd Team and the All-NA3HL 3rd Team.

"Our coaching staff was thrilled with Justin's commitment," said RMU Hockey Director Tom Wendlandt. "We love his potential and we believe he's going to make an impact immediately for us. He's a real student of the game with the type of work ethic we look for in a goalie. His puckhandling ability will give us an extra dimension we've been looking for. On top of that, he's a terrific student, very mature and a leader. We lost two first-rate goalies to graduation, and feel very good about Justin's ability to make a quick transition to the college game."

Ball is the 5th NA3HL player to have committed to RMU-IL this off-season.
