North Iowa names Kirley as assistant coach

June 24, 2015
The North Iowa Bulls of the NA3Hl are proud to announce the recent hiring of Casey Kirley as an assistant coach.

A Hayward, Wisconsin native and 2009 draft pick of the Kenai River Brown Bears, Kirley brings playing experience from the North American Hockey League.  Casey also played 4 years at UW-Stout following his time in the NAHL and was part of a WIAC Championship team his freshman year.

Kirley brings not only the experience as a collegiate player and former NAHL player but also experience as an assistant coach and director of player personnel from the Great Falls Americans of the NA3HL's Frontier Division.  Casey spent one year with Great Falls.  Casey will assume several roles which include working with Bulls defensemen, team strength and conditioning, team skill development, and breaking down film to help instruct Bulls players.

"Casey is a great hire and we look forward to adding his skill set to the Bull's staff.  He has championship experience as a player and coach, most recently in the NA3HL with Great Falls, and that will help continue to drive the success of our team," said North Iowa head coach Todd Sanden.

Kirley commented, "I am looking forward to the opportunity to coach in North Iowa and help the players progress in their careers.  The NA3HL gives players the opportunity to achieve their full potential.  I hope to help the North Iowa Bulls return to the Silver Cup Championship."
