Vengeance sweep Thunder with Sunday win
Cincinnati 1 @ Pittsburgh 3 – The Pittsburgh Vengeance stayed undefeated on the young season by completing a weekend home sweep of the Cincinnati Thunder with a 3-1 win on Sunday. With the win, Pittsburgh sits atop of the East Division with a 2-0 record, while Cincinnati fell to 0-2. After a scoreless 1st period in which Thunder goalie Daniel Dolliver stopped all 14 shots that came his way, the Vengeance got on the board midway through the 2nd period with goals from Anthony Szurlej and Nick Hawkins. The Thunder would answer before the period was out with their lone goal of the game, which came from Marc Anderson on the power play. Nicholas Lyon added his second goal of the season in the 3rd period to make the final 3-1. Marcus Gloss made 25 saves for the Vegenace in his NA3HL debut, while Dolliver made 31 saves in the loss.
