18 recognized by NHL Central Scouting on final rankings
Eighteen current and former North American Hockey League (NAHL) players have been recognized by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau on its final rankings of 2010 draft-eligibles.
Among those listed is Traverse City North Stars forward Andy Huff, who is ranked No. 168 among North American skaters. Huff, a Ferris State University (CCHA) recruit from Howell, Mich., finished the regular season with 22 goals for 37 points in 55 games.
Also ranked are former Marquette Rangers defenseman and St. Cloud State University (WCHA)-bound Kevin Gravel (No. 70), former St. Louis Bandits defenseman John Ramage (No. 131), who is currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin (WCHA), former Mahoning Valley Phantoms forward Alex Lippincott (No. 162), former Bandits defenseman Kyle Quick (No. 188) and former Wenatchee Wild goaltender Mac Carruth (No. 16 among North American goaltenders).
Other former NAHL players listed include current or former members of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program: forwards Emerson Etem (No. 8), Derek Forbort (No. 9), Bill Arnold (No. 36), Jason Zucker (No. 51), Jake Fallon (No. 68), Bryan Rust (No. 80) and Luke Moffatt (No. 95); defensemen Jon Merrill (No. 21), Stephen Johns (No. 35) and Jarred Tinordi (No. 38); and goaltenders Jack Campbell (No. 2 among North American goaltenders) and Will Yanakeff (No. 20).
Also ranked is Team Maryland forward Casey Thrush (No. 89), a University of New Hampshire (Hockey East) recruit who played in the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) this season.
This year’s NHL Entry Draft will take place June 25-26 in Los Angeles.
Fifteen current and former NAHL players were selected in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
