Division leaders Metro, St. Louis win on Wednesday

Evansville 4 @ St. Louis 9 - St. Louis took home the 9-4 victory over Evansville. St. Louis forced Evansville's netminders to work in net, finishing with 51 shots and forcing 42 saves. Bryson Lindenburgh made 26 stops and Brian Forness made 16.  St. Louis was helped by Alex Klaesner, who finished with one goal and one assist. Klaesner scored 1:00 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Louis. Tomas Loeffelman assisted on the tally. St. Louis additionally got points from Brian Schumacher, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Daniel Dunaway, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Frankie Melton, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Others who scored for St. Louis included Joe Nolan, who had two and Frankie Cardinale, Alex Werdmuller, and Eduard Rumyantsev, who each put in one. More assists for St. Louis came via Ryan Reader, who had one, CJ Nitchen, who had two, and Sam Maddox, who had three. Evansville was helped by Scott Jacobson, who registered one goal. Jacobson scored 14:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Evansville. Evansville also had goals scored by Jon Grimm, Michael Kelley, and Brandon Bornkamp, who scored one goal each. West Michigan 1 @ Metro 5 - Metro relied on the sparkling performance of Kameron Limburg in net to grab a 5-1 win against West Michigan. Metro was led by Michael Tratar, who tallied one goal and one assist. Tratar scored 16:46 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Metro. Kevin Shand picked up the assist. Metro also got points from Mathias Tellstrom, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Chase Sereno, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Metro also had goals scored by Jacob Drinkard and Chas Distelrath, who each put in one. More assists for Metro came via Jason Recchia, who had two and Mark Vansaw, Pearce Vance, Jacob Rutkoske, and Matt Dempsey, who contributed one each. West Michigan was led by Brendon Block, who scored the team's only goal. Block scored 10:46 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Metro. Ryan Price assisted on the tally.
