Helena, Great Falls, Point Mallard and Atlanta win on Thursday

Atlanta 10 @ Louisiana 3 - Riley Hummitsch had two goals and two assists to lead Atlanta to a 10-3 victory over Louisiana. Hummitsch's tallies came at 10:04 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Atlanta and on the power play 11:55 into the third to make the score 8-3 Atlanta. Atlanta additionally got points from Jacob Roers, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kyle Rimbach, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Philip Pugliese, who also had one goal and two assists, Jack Cleaver, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Evan Camba, who also registered one goal and two assists, Ryan Dumond, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Ross Bartlett, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Atlanta also got a goal from Drake Cartwright as well. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Aleksi Hoivala, Andrew Cooley, Drew Kelly, Artus Laukaitis, Bear Ross, and Steve MacIver, who contributed one each. Point Mallard 7 @ Sugar Land 3 - Justin Dunn lifted Point Mallard to a 7-3 victory with a hat trick against Sugar Land. Dunn's first goal came 7:24 into the second period. He then added goals at 19:11 into the second and at 10:08 into the third. Point Mallard kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Mackey made 31 saves on 38 shots. Point Mallard also got points from Jake Cox, who also racked up one goal and three assists, Josh Hamilton, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Jake Champaign, who also had one goal and one assist. Justin Clark also scored for Point Mallard. Other players who recorded assists for Point Mallard were Stephen Coulter, who had two and Ian Precht, Cody Thomas, Cooper Seedott, and Matt Darnell, who contributed one each. Sugar Land was helped by RC Randall, who finished with one goal. Randall scored 14:36 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Point Mallard. Kyle Hooper provided the assist. Sugar Land additionally got points from Luca Valenza, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Sugar Land also got a goal from Jonathan Adnell as well. Jester scored at 1:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Falls and again while short handed 10:18 into the first to make the score 2-0 Great Falls. Great Falls additionally got points from Stevan Goran, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Great Falls also got a goal from Adam Apangalook as well. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Miles Giorgione, who had one. Gillette was led by Cade Boreing, who scored the team's only goal. Boreing scored 7:03 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Great Falls. Alex King picked up the assist. Lauren Massie made 24 saves for Great Falls on 25 shots.

 

Helena 4 @ Bozeman 1 -  Bozeman failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Helena shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-1. Helena was sparked by Cody Vanthournout, who had one goal and one assist. Vanthournout scored on the power play 7:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Helena. Jay Forbes provided the assist. Helena also got points from Michael Ballard, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Helena included John Greer and Blake Babineau, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Ryan Daugherty, Brandon Mills, Matt Blassic, and Gavin Lubin, who contributed one each. Bozeman was led by Kegan Couture, who scored the team's only goal. Couture scored 14:39 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Helena. Gunnar Mogck picked up the assist.
