Gongshow Flow of the Month winner for October announced

October… Fall arrives, there is a chill in the air, the leaves start to turn colors and a hockey players hair enters what is known as the ‘wheel house’ for what their flow is starting to become. The season is two months old and player’s flow is in full effect.

 

So we look back on October and we had many quality submissions. But, as they say better late than never, and with that a late submission right before the month was over ended up taking the cake.

 

The winner this month in the NA3HL is Wooster Oilers forward Tyler Houmard.

 

Houmard, 20, is in his second and last season of playing junior hockey in the NA3HL. The native of Canton, Ohio, is having a great season thus far with the Wooster Oilers, a new entry into the league this season. In 14 gams played, he has recorded nine points.

 

Houmard (5’9/190) is no stranger to the NA3HL, having played last season for the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, where he had 26 points in 47 games played.

 

Houmard was smart in his submission, showing off his veteran status. Not only did he show off his sweet flow, but he has a great set of chops to go along with it and definitely made good use of social media to capture his win.

 

First off, Houmard’s submission came following the first flow of the month winner at the beginning of October. So, he struck while the iron was hot.  Second, his submission picture was via snapchat and Twitter, which clearly is showing off his social media skills.

 

Rookies take note… Houmard’s flow is just a thing of pure beauty. No style, no product, just a mess of hair along with some tough looking biker chops. Sometimes simplicity is the answer.

Fans and players alike are encouraged to submit photos of their best ‘hockey hair’ or ‘flow’ via Twitter by the end of every month during the regular season.

 

To enter the contest for the month of November, submit your best #FlowoftheMonth pictures by November 30th to @NA3HL and @GONGSHOWGEAR. Winners will be selected on December 1st and will receive a Gongshow Gear hat. Special consideration will be given to those who not only have the best flow, but who also accompany it with a moustache.
