Long Beach forward Kalata makes NCAA commitment

The Long Beach Sharks of the NA3HL are proud to announce that Robert Kalata has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at St. Olaf College of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
 
Kalata, a 20-year-old forward from Park Ridge, Illinois finished the 2015-16 campaign with 25 goals and 29 assists for 54 points in 44 games. 
 
“We are all very excited for Robert,” stated Sharks coach Mike Stanaway.  “He came to our program looking to improve so he could achieve his goal of playing college hockey.  Robert is not only a tremendous hockey player but he is a fantastic student.  He worked extremely hard and I am thrilled that he will be playing in the NCAA.”
 
During the 2014-15 season, Kalata (6’0/175) played in the NA3HL for the Great Falls Americans, recording 31 points in 47 games played.
 
Overall in his NA3HL (NA3EHL) career, he had 85 points in 91 career junior games.
