Toledo defenseman Bogart makes college commitment

The Toledo Cherokee of the NA3HL are proud to announce defensemen David Bogart has committed to play college hockey at Eastern Michigan University for the upcoming season. Eastern Michigan is an ACHA Division I program that competes in the Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League.
The Northwood, Ohio native has been the Cherokee captain for the past two seasons. In 177 career games the 21-year-old scored 27 goals and added 43 assists for 70 points.
Bogart wrapped up his fourth season with Toledo in 2015-16 scoring 10 goals with 18 assists for a total of 28 points during the latest campaign.
Bogart (6’3/205) also played in the past three NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments, all for the East Division team.
“I am excited for David, he has been a mainstay for us for a long time and I am sure he will continue to be a huge asset for his team at the college level,” said head coach Kenny Miller. “DJ has been a true leader for our club since they day he arrived as a 16 year old, he carries a lot of pride and works hard every day, Eastern Michigan is not only getting a good player but an even better leader and person.”
