The Breezy Point North Stars, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Josh Laven has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey at Lindenwood University.
Lindenwood, who are coached by former NHL player and former NAHL coach Rick Zombo, are the defending ACHA Division I National Champions and have won three National Championships overall.
Laven, 20, is in his second season playing in the NA3HL for the North Stars. The 5’11/180 lbs. native of Hopkins, Minnesota, leads the team in scoring so far during the 2016-17 season with 44 points in 39 games played.
Last season, Laven was second in team scoring with 34 points in 47 games played.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL, he played Minnesota high school hockey for Hopkins High School.
“Josh has been one of the top forwards in our division for the last two seasons with the North Stars. We are excited to see his hard work pay off and have a Josh go to such a well established and successful hockey program,” said North Stars head coach Jon Jonasson.
“I’m excited to be attending such a great university and I couldn’t have gotten to the point without the consistent support from my teammates and the Breezy Point North Stars,” said Laven.
