Atlanta forward Figi makes NCAA commitment

The Atlanta Capitals of the NA3HL are pleased to announce for forward Sascha Figi has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Fitchburg State University.
Figi, 19, just completed his first season playing junior hockey in the United States in the NA3HL for the Capitals. The native of Kloten, Switzerland, had a breakout season, leading the Capitals in scoring with 84 points (37 goals, 47 assists) in 47 regular season games played.
Figi shined in the playoffs, helping the Capitals to the South Division playoff title and a spot in the 2017 Silver Cup Championship. In seven playoff games, he recorded 12 points.
Figi (6’0/175) was also selected to and played in the 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Silver team, where he had a goal and an assist in three games.
For his efforts, Figi was named the NA3HL’s South Division Forward of the Year and named to the NA3HL All-South Division Team. He was also named to the All-NA3HL 2nd Team as a forward.
Prior to playing for the Capitals, Figi played junior hockey in Switzerland for both EHC Bulach and the Bulach U20 team.
