August 25, 2017
The Binghamton Junior Senators of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Michael Hennekens has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at SUNY-Morrisville.

The 21-year-old native of Vestal, New York, just completed his final season of playing junior hockey with the Junior Sens. In 46 regular season games, Hennekens (6’4/245) had 16 points (2 goals, 14 assists) to go along with 102 penalty minutes.

Hennekens also had an assist in eight playoff games as Binghamton made it all the way to the Silver Cup Semi-Finals.

Prior to playing in the NA3HL for the Junior Sens, Hennekens spent a season with the Vancouver Rangers in the WSHL and the Niagara Whalers in the GMHL.

He is the 8th player from the 2016-17 Binghamton squad who has made a college commitment
