Ducks beat Jr. Predators in Tuesday matinee
Point Mallard 7 @ Nashville 1 – In a Tuesday NA3HL matinee game, Point Mallard forward Jake Cox had a four-point afternoon as the veteran forward recorded two goals and two assists in a 7-1 win over Nashville. After a scoreless 1st period, it was all Ducks as they scored three goals in 2nd period and four more goals in the 3rd period. Cox scored both of his goals in the 2nd period in addition to a goal from Nathan Weinland. In the 3rd period, the Ducks added four more goals from Tyler Trombly, Fletcher Chun, Jesse Step and Joe Lopez. Logan Weber was able to breakthrough for Nashville later in the 3rd period, which spoiled the shutout bid of Chris O’Shaughnessy, who stopped 16 of 17 shots in the win. Devin Naidow took the loss for the Jr. Preds, making 19 saves. The win for the second straight for Point Mallard. Boxscore
