North Iowa duo of Fagerlee and Sandvig earn NAHL call ups

December 8, 2017
The North Iowa Bulls are in first place in the NA3HL's Central Division, and Todd Sanden's team is seeing some upward roster movement as the league's Showcase approaches.

Two Bulls are headed to the North American Hockey League this week, starting with Cameron Fagerlee, who was called up to the Amarillo Bulls this past weekend.

Fagerlee was in uniform on Friday night and picked up two points against Wausau in the contest, but was off on Saturday to give him time to travel to Texas and get settled in with Rocky Russo's club.

The St. Anthony, Minnesota native put together an 18-game point streak to start his junior career, the third-longest such streak in team history, and has racked up 30 points in his first 21 games, including a dozen goals.

Joining him in the NAHL this week is Dan Sandvig, who returns to Kenai River after starting the season with the Brown Bears. The Burnsville, Minnesota native has posted a dozen points, including 10 assists, during an active six-game point streak.

The Bulls have had five players called up to the NAHL this season, including four in the last two weeks.

Brendan Studioso spent his Thanksgiving week with the Minnesota Wilderness, appearing in three games and scoring his first NAHL goal, and Jarod Blackowiak was invited to spend last weekend with the Austin Bruins on their road trip in Bismarck.
