NA3HL announces monthly player awards for January
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of January. The Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month is Hunter Bersani of the Texas Brahmas. The Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month is Cameron Bickford of the Texas Brahmas. The Vaughn NA3HL Goaltender of the Month is Carson Murison of the Texas Brahmas. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.
Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month: Hunter Bersani, Texas Brahmas
The Texas Brahmas had a perfect month of January and leading the charge on offense was Hunter Bersani. A native of Allen, Texas, Bersani was on fire during the first month of the new year, registering multi-point games in nine of his 11 outings. The Texas captain was a model of consistency for the Brahmas as he scored in seven different games and had multiple assists five times. He finished January with seven goals and 16 assists to give him 23 points. “Hunter wears the ‘C’ not only because of his leadership in the locker room, but also because he leads by example on the ice every single shift,” said Texas Head Coach Michael Hill.

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Cameron Bickford, Texas Brahmas
Another key cog in the Brahmas 11-game winning streak was blue liner Cameron Bickford. The defenseman notched five of his 11 total goals in the month of January while also adding 11 assists. Bickford’s signature performance came on January 13th when he scored a pair of power play goals and added an assist in a win over College Station. From Mansfield, Texas, Bickford is currently riding a five game point streak and has 44 points this season. “Cameron is a dynamic player with speed to burn and incredible vision. He has a bright future in this game.” Head Coach Michael Hill added.

Vaughn NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Carson Murison, Texas Brahmas
Solidifying a perfect January for Texas, goaltender Carson Murison was unbeatable in eight tries. Carson’s January was highlighted by three straight wins on consecutive days against Louisiana. During that span the netminder from Half Moon Bay, California allowed just four goals. Murison pitched two shutouts as well for the Brahmas during the month of January, posting a goals against average of 1.00 with a save percentage of .945. Texas Head Coach Michael Hill gave high praise to goaltender, “With Carson’s stellar play during the month of January he grabbed the league lead in goals against average at 1.24 and is second in the league with a save percentage of .944."
