Stampede, Wild clinch playoff spots with Tuesday wins

Niagara Falls PowerHawks 1 @ Oswego Stampede 2-Scoreless after one, Oswego Stampede forward Marcos Zarragoitia notched one late in the second to open the scoring, ultimately resulting in a 2-1 victory for the Stampede over the Niagara Falls PowerHawks. The win clinched a spot in the Fraser Cup Playoffs for the Stampede. Ryan Gunther also scored one for the Stampede, while Brandon Schweickert notched the lone PowerHawks goal. Oswego netminder Steven Kozikoski made 48 saves, while Alvin Dow stopped 32 shots for Niagara Falls.
Cape Cod Islanders 1 @ Maine Wild 2-The Maine Wild scored early in the first to set the pace for a 2-1 win over the Cape Cod Islanders, which clinched the fourth and final playoff spot in the Coastal Division for the Wild. Maine goals came off the sticks of Tyler Webb and Jeffrey Gratz, while Leevi Kervinen notched one for the Islanders. Maine's Chris Rodrigues made 19 saves, and Esa Maki stopped 26 shots for Cape Cod.
Wooster Oilers 1 @ Toledo Cherokee 4-A pair of goals from EJ Gilbert helped the Toledo Cherokee to a 4-1 win over the Wooster Oilers. Spencer Sandberg and Darren Carter also scored for the Cherokee, while Matthew Kesto found the back of the net for the Oilers. Toledo's Ricardo Gonzalez made 35 saves, while Michael Hubbard stopped 31 shots for Wooster.
