The New England Stars of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward and captain Nick Johnson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Framingham State University.
Johnson, 20, is a 5’10/170 lbs. forward from Nashua, New Hampshire. He has registered 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in 30 games for the Stars during the 2017-18 season.
This is his third season playing for the Stars in the NA3HL. In 109 career games he has recorded 34 points.
“Nick has improved dramatically in three years with us. He has always played with an edge and with hard work has become a reliant penalty killer and can play net front on power play. Framingham is getting another one of our power forwards,” said Stars Head Coach Darryl Green.
Framingham State University is a NCAA Division III University that competes in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). Framingham State is located in the metro west part of Massachusetts in what is the largest town in Mass and the hub of the metro west region.
“I’d like to thank Coach Green for teaching me more than I’ve ever known about the sport of hockey along with Coach Fontas for all he’s done for me on and off the ice. I’d also like to thank Framingham for giving me the opportunity to continue my hockey career and get my degree at the same time,” said Johnson.
