Gillette head coach Hodge steps down from position
March 19, 2018
The Gillette Wild of the NA3HL has announced that Head Coach Brendon Hodge has stepped down from his position with the team to pursue other options.
In his three years with the Wild, Hodge led the team to an 83-52-6 regular season record and in his second year set the franchise record with a 35-11-1 record during the 2016-17 season.
The Wild were eliminated from the 2018 NA3HL Fraser Cup Playoffs this past weekend, as they were swept in two games in the Frontier Division Semi-Finals by the Yellowstone Quake.
In his three years with the Wild, Hodge was instrumental in helping numerous players move on to play college hockey and pursue and education.
The Wild will immediately begin the search for a new coach and hope to have a person who is dedicated to helping his players reach their full potential, interested in being part of the youth hockey community, and working to grow the sport in Gillette.
