NA3HL Weekend Preview: Division Finals

It is the final weekend before the 2018 NA3HL Fraser Cup Championship, which will take place at Canlan Ice Sports in Romeoville, Illinois from March 27-31.
 
This weekend sees the conclusion of the remaining seven Division Finals series. The New England Stars became the first team to punch their Fraser Cup ticket as they won the Coastal Division playoff title thanks to a 1-0 win in Game 2 on Thursday night, sweeping their series against the L/A Nordiques.

Fraser Cup Championship Tournament format
The eight divisional playoff champions will advance to the NA3HL Fraser Cup Championship Tournament, where they will play a three- game round-robin format followed by a semi-final and a championship game at Canlan Ice Sports in Romeoville, Illinois, from March 27-31. The eight divisional playoff winners will be seeded 1-8 based on their regular season point totals. A round-robin format with two pools will be implemented, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the Semi-Finals, where they will then cross over to play the other top two teams from the other pool. The winners of the Semi-Finals will advance to the Silver Cup Championship Game. In the event of a tie after round-robin play, a tiebreaking procedure adopted in the rules and regulations shall be used to break the tie.
