The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that three players from the 2017-18 team have made their NCAA commitments.

Forward Logan Nelson, goaltender Brady Meyers and defenseman Alec Skar have all committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

“We are very proud as an organization to give the opportunity to athletes to pursue their goals to play college hockey and move on with their future.  We strive as an organization to develop players for the next level and prepare them on and off the ice for the next step,” said Alexandria head coach Jeff Crouse.

The 6’2/205 lbs. native of St. Michael, Minnesota, had a career season in 2017-18, recording 85 points, which included 38 goals and 47 assists, which led the Blizzard in scoring and tied for 7th in scoring for all NA3HL players. Nelson was also selected to and played in the 2018 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Grey team where he had two points in three games.
