Northeast Generals forward Braley makes NCAA commitment

April 11, 2018
The Northeast Generals of the NA3HL is excited to announce that forward and captain Austin Braley has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Salem State College.

Braley, from Bourne, Massachusetts, was one of the first signings in Generals history. He has captained the Generals from their inaugural season in 2015-16 season in the NA3EHL through this past season.

Austin twice was selected to the NA3HL Top Prospects tournament and for his 120 game Generals career tallied 69 goals, 61 assists for 130 points. He leaves the Generals as the all time leader in several categories including goals: 69, penalty minutes (210) and goals in a season (31). He is also in the top 5 in every offensive category in Generals history.

“Austin leaves a great legacy with the organization. He was one of the players we first targeted when we started the Generals because of his direct style of play. He sets the tone with his physicality and his ability and willingness to go to the tough areas on the ice. He was such a great leader on and off the ice,” said GM Bryan Erikson. “Austin has grown so much as a person and a player for the Generals. I have been a huge fan of Austin for a long time and it was my true privilege to have Coached him and to watch him grow on and off the ice. He is such an integral part of what we have built here and he leaves quite an imprint to those that will follow him. We are really proud of Austin.”
