Wings name NA3HL coach Hill as new assistant

Michael Hill led the Texas Brahmas of the NA3HL to a 77-16-1 record over the course of the past two seasons. He also also a former NAHL player and was named to the All-NAHL 1st Team during the 2010-11 season while playing in Topeka.

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce the hiring of Assistant Coach Michael Hill.  Coach Hill comes to the Wings from the Texas Jr. Brahmas of the NA3HL, where he was the head coach the past two seasons.  
 
For the past two seasons, Hill has guided in the Texas Brahmas in the NA3HL to a record of 77-16-1, which included back-to-back South Division regular season titles. It also included a South Division playoff title this past season and an appearance in the 2018 Fraser Cup Championship.
 
Hill spent two and a half years playing in the NAHL and played for Head Coach Scott Langer in Topeka from 2009-2011, serving as team captain during the 2010-11 season, where has was also named to the 2010-11 All-NAHL 1st Team and NAHL All-South Division 1st Team.
 
"I'm extremely excited, blessed and honored to be a part of the Aberdeen Wings organization.  I can't thank head coach Scott Langer and the Odde family enough for believing in me to be the guy to step in and help lead this program to the Robertson Cup.  My wife and I are looking forward to this next adventure together.  I owe a lot to the Texas Brahmas for giving me my start into coaching.  I love this game and sharing my knowledge of it.  I cant wait to kick start this year at Main Camp next week," said Hill.
 
Playing in 101 games during his time in the NAHL, Hill put up 70 goals and 55 assists for 125 career points.  After his time in the NAHL, Hill played college hockey for St. Mary’s for a season before transferring to St. Norbert’s College for three seasons.  During his time in the NCAA, Hill played in 106 games and had 117 points (67 goals, 50 assists).  He helped St. Norbert to an NCAA Division III National Championship during the 2013-14 season was a member of the NCHA All-Conference Team in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
 
After college, Hill spent time in the ECHL & the SPHL before beginning his coaching career as head coach of the Texas Jr. Brahmas NA3HL team.
