August 30, 2018
The Texas Brahmas of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Vincent Dekumbis has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Lawrence University.
Dekumbis, a 5’11/185 lbs. native of Firbourg, Switzerland, played in the NA3HL with the Brahmas for two seasons, which also included a call up to the NAHL’s Lone Star Brahmas for eight games.
Dekumbus, 20, has been in talks with Lawrence since the December Showcase, however, he had to wait until he finished high school in the United States to announce his commitment. He played in 73 games for Texas in the NA3HL and recorded 29 goals and 57 assists for 86 points.
Newly hired assistant with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL and Vincent's coach for the Brahmas, Michael Hill, said, "Vincent is a special player. He was highly admired by his teammates and a leader in the locker room. He plays with high energy, see the ice very well and finishes plays."
With Vincent's commitment to Lawrence, the 2017-18 Texas Brahmas now have a total of eight NCAA commitments, including all the aged out 1997 birth year players and three ACHA commitments marking their highest number of commitments for any given year in team history.
