Peoria forward Trudel gets call to the NAHL
October 30, 2018
The Peoria Mustangs of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Tristan Trudel was called up to the North American Hockey League (NAHL) this past weekend to play for the Springfield Jr Blues.
The 15-year-old Trudel (6’4”/206) has had a strong start to the season for the Mustangs. The Dunlap, Illinois, native has 18 points, 10 goals and 8 assists, in 11 games for a team leading 1.64 points per game average. He is currently 2nd on the team in scoring.
This was Trudel’s first time playing in the NAHL.
His call up came just days after he was named the NA3HL’s Central Division Star of the Week, as Peoria nabbed three out of four possible points from a weekend doubleheader against division rival St. Louis. In Friday’s 5-4 OT loss, Trudel posted a pair of helpers, including the primary assist on Blake Finley’s tying effort with just 25 seconds remaining. Saturday’s 3-2 SO win featured more of the same production from the Dunlap, IL native, as he factored in on both Peoria regulation goals, scoring one and assisting on the other. Trudel now boasts points in each of his last five outings, potting 5g-6a-11pts in that span.
