Last season, Poellinger led the La Crosse Freeze to the NA3HL Fraser Cup Semi-Finals. In 45 NA3HL games, he recorded 33 points. He also stood out at the 2018 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Selects White Team, where he recorded six points in three games.
