Fortin leads Whalers to 7-3 win on Wednesday

Wausau 3 @ Wisconsin 7 - Anthony Fortin posted a hat-trick and Caleb Sauer made 21 saves as the Whalers topped the Riverwolves 7-3 at home on Wednesday. Cody Squillace put Wausau ahead early with a goal just 1:20 into the game, but the Whalers responded with five straight goals from Fortin, Jeff Bishop and Sam Hanson to take a dominant advantage. Squillace then scored again alongside another Wausau strike by Pheniox Engum, but Justin Vinton and Austin Burgener put the game on ice with late Whalers tallies.
