Coaches announced for Top Prospects
The North American Hockey League announced today the coaches for its first annual Top Prospects Tournament, which will be held February 17-19 at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Mich.
St. Louis Bandits head coach Jon Cooper will serve as head coach of the North Division, with Mahoning Valley Phantoms head coach Bob Mainhardt assisting.
The South Division will be led by Wichita Falls Wildcats head coach John Bowkus, with Fairbanks Ice Dogs head coach Rob Proffitt serving as the assistant.
North Iowa Outlaws head coach Dave Boitz will guide the Central Division, and Southern Minnesota Express head coach Matt Romaniski will be the assistant coach.
Coaches were selected based on the highest winning percentage in each division as of January 1.
The Top Prospects Tournament will feature all-star teams from the NAHL's Central, North and South Divisions, as well as a team from the U.S. National Team Development Program, competing in a three-game, round-robin tournament.
