The Maine Wild of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Chandler Bilodeau has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for the University of Alabama.
The 5’10/160 lbs. native of Arundel, Maine, was the team’s leading scorer during the 2018-19 season, recording 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points in 47 games this season for the Wild.
“Chandler had a tremendous season for us this year as a rookie he played first line and in all situations all season long and really thrived. We wish him and his family all the best in his next step,” said Wild Head Coach Jeff Tory.
Bilodeau, 19, was also selected to and played in the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Coastal Division team.
The University of Alabama is a American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I program. The team is now in its twelfth season and plays all of its home games in Pelham, AL at the Pelham Civic Complex. The program elevated its status to ACHA Division I in 2015 and now competes at the highest level of ACHA college hockey. Alabama is one of two SEC schools to have a program competing at this level.
“Playing my first year of juniors with the Wild was an all around tremendous experience. The coaching staff is amazing and really helped me elevate my game to get me ready to play at the collegiate level. I made friendships and memories that will last forever. I want to thank everyone involved in the organization and I’m excited for what’s to come in the future,” said Bilodeau.
