Long Beach Sharks name Chris Lloyd as new Head Coach

The Long Beach Sharks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Lloyd as Head Coach for the 2020-21 season.
Lloyd is a native of New York and an educator at St. John the Baptist High School teaching AP European History and Economics. He previously coached the St. John the Baptist High School hockey team from 2013-15 and won a New York State Championship (NYSAHA).
Lloyd played Tier I youth hockey with the Long Island Gulls, two years of junior hockey for the New Jersey Rockets (EHL) and NCAA Division III Hockey at Western New England University.
For the past nine years, Lloydhas been coaching youth hockey and coached the last six seasons with the Long Island Sharks.
When asked about his move to the Long Beach Sharks, Lloyd remarked, “I am really looking forward to the opportunity to help grow and develop our junior players and work towards advancing them to the NAHL and collegiate levels of hockey.”
George Chalos, the President and Director of Hockey Operations for the Long Beach Sharks commented, “We are excited for Chris to become the head coach of the junior team. His knowledge of junior and college hockey is exceptional. We are all looking forward to a really special season.”
Lloyd resides in Lindenhurst with his wife Evelyn and twin boys, Austin and Logan.
