The Sheridan Hawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Kolten Wright has committed to play ACHA Division 1 hockey for Midland University.
Wright, 20, just completed his second and final season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, earned 69 points (25 goals, 44 assists) in 45 regular season games with the Hawks in 2019-20.
He was also selected to and played in the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.
Prior to moving to Sheridan with the team, Wright had 8 points in 16 games as a Wisconsin Whaler during the 2018-19 season.
The Midland Warriors, located in Fremont, Nebraska, play ACHA Division I hockey in the Great Plains Athletic Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
"Kolten is a very smart player. He reads the ice extremely well and makes his line-mates better players," said Midland head coach Jason Cirone. "I expect him to come in and play a lot of minutes for us and to be a leader with his disciplined work ethic."
