Saturday Scores: Lumberjacks keep hot start going with win

Bozeman forward and NAPHL grad Tanner Klockzo had his first career hat-trick in a 6-2 win on Saturday to help the Icedogs extend their winning streak.

Granite City Lumberjacks 6 @ Alexandria Blizzard 3 - Charlie Erickson, who is a point per game, begins the game with a goal. Concluding the first period is a point from Nicholas Richert of the Lumberjacks; the first of the season.  The second period was filled with penalties from both sides. The Blizzards secure two goals and tie up the game. These goals were earned by Cole Lehmann and Austin McNeil. High tension motivated the Lumberjacks to tuck in four more goals by Carson Simon, Kyle Mortenson, and two by Blake Keller. The Blizzards tried to keep up with a goal by Cole Jacobs but sadly it was not enough.

Yellowstone Quake 2 @ Bozeman Icedogs 6 - A tough season so far for the Yellowstone Quake. They saw their opportunity in the third period and secured two goals. The first was from Dylan Rumpke and the second was from Jack Harris. The other points on the board were from the Bozeman Icedogs. Tanner Klockzo had a hat trick tonight. Landon Frost got his second goal of the season tonight. Tae Evans with his sixth goal of the season. Kai Kingery with his third goal of the season.

Rochester Grizzlies 5 @ Milwaukee Power 1 - Everyone's blood was running hot tonight as there were 15 penalties between the two teams. The Rochester Grizzlies left no room for hope for the Milwaukee Power with a 5 to 1 score. The Grizzlies goals were produced by: Micah Germander, Dylan Schneider, Peyton Hart, Cody Reagle, and Matthew DeRosa. The Power goal was produced by Garrett Alton.

Willmar WarHawks 2 @ North Iowa Bulls 5 - Coming off of Fridays lose the WarHawks were fired up to get revenge against the Bulls. The Bulls started off the scoring with a goal from Sota Isogai. The WarHawks quickly matched that with a goal from Jack Willis. Breaking the tie is Campbell Cichosz who snuck one in past Joe Daninger. The WarHawks switch out their goalies and puts Evan Babekuhl in net. The Bulls create three more scoring opportunities and complete all of them. These three goals were from Issac Lindstrom, Cal Nauss, and Garrett Freeman. Cole Wigestrand of the WarHawks obtained the final goal of the game.

Louisiana Drillers 5 @ Atlanta Capitals 1 - The Louisiana Drillers did not hold back this game against the Atlanta Capitals. Frank Steinway started off the storm for the Drillers with a goal. Then Joshua Hrip of the Drillers delivered a tsunami with a hat trick. The Atlanta Capitals light up the scoreboard in the second period, with the only goal of the night from Edward Slack. Finally the Drillers secured the win with a goal from J.T. Sgro. The Atlanta Capitals put in a solid effort with 40 shots on net but they were no match for Kyle Karolski who stopped 39 shots.

Oregon Tradesmen 3 @ St. Louis Jr. Blues 5 - With 22 penalty both teams had to work hard to break away from the shenanigans. Tim Delaney of the Tradesmen with the first goal of the night. Joey Solimando followed Delaney up with a goal of his own. Then right from the first puck drop of the second comes a rebuttal goal from the Jr. Blues by Dylan Dent. Parker Severson of the Jr. Blues ties up the game.  To finish off the game Matt McGowan puts one on the board while Tony Andrews puts up two. The Jr. Bulls will be sleeping well tonight. 

Texas RoadRunners 1 @ Texas Brahmas 10 - The RoadRunners held off the Brahmas halfway into the first until Derek Boutin of the RoadRunners took a penalty. At that moment the Brahmas found their momentum and they held onto it. Leevi Selanne of the Brahmas went home with a hat trick. Tyler Blanchard of the Brahmas was just shy of a hat trick as he scored two goals tonight.  Danny Finegan and Alec Secord of the Brahmas both obtained their first goals of the season. The additional three goals were produced by Luke Busher, Blake Rothstein, and Jacob Kalandyk. Myles Westbrook assisted Seth Payson in the solo goal for the RoadRunners.

Missoula Junior Bruins 9 @ Butte Cobras 0 - The Missoula Junior Bruins take home their first shoot out of the season with Seth Daniels in net. Seth faced 25 shots tonight and denied each and every one of them. The Butte Cobras’ goaltender Tommy Near was pounded with 63 shots tonight. Both Spencer Warren and Mi-Kwan Tallman of the Bruins brought home their first goals of the season. Owen Miley of the Bruins tucked in two goals. Finally to finish the game off Trevor Prince had a hat trick.
