Saturday Scores: Grizzlies stay undefeated with sweep

Peoria goalie Cole Walter led the Mustangs to a weekend sweep of Milwaukee.

Oregon Tradesmen 0 @ Rochester Grizzlies 4 - The penalties tonight were super back and forth. 8 penalties for the Tradesmen and 7 penalties for the Grizzlies. Garrett Smith delivered the first valuable shot securing a goal in the 1st period. The Grizzlies obtained three more goals in the second period by Dylan Schneider, Joey Fodstad, and Cole Gibson. Zach Foster of the Grizzlies walked away with a shut out. Hunter Adams the goaltender of the Tradesmen did a great job as well; he saved 38/42 shots on net.

Northeast Generals 6 @ New Jersey Titans 0 - The Northeast Generals left no room for mercy as they finished the game six to nothing. The six goals were produced by: Ben Pizzimenti, Tyler Kaminski, Payton Felix, Nicklaus Obourn, Jacob Kosinski, and James Clarke. Espen Reager stopped 13/13 shots on net and secured himself a shutout win. Grant Goodson of the Titans did the best that he could, facing 53 shots and stopping 47 of them.

Bozeman Icedogs 1 @ Great Falls 5 - Great Falls now reigns undefeated for six consecutive games. Cole Komarek of Great Falls started off the action with the first goal of the night. Kadyn Fennell was the only Icedog to sneak a goal past Trever Mellen tonight. Finishing up the first period is a goal from Henry Chavez of Great Falls. Then directly after the first puck drop of the second period was a goal by Jake Hayes of Great Falls. The last two points of the game were scored by Garret Weisenburger and Connor Doyle.

 Jr. Bruins 5 @ Yellowstone Quake 6 - Yellowstone Quakes dominated the first period of this game. They had three goals on the board, one from Mason Merage and two from Jack Harris. Moving with the momentum Dylan Rumpke of Yellowstone put one in the back of the net. Missoula Jr. Bruins scored five goals in a row: one from Trevor Prince, two from Liam Bland, and two from Pablo Frank. Brandon Kidis of Yellowstone scored and tied the game up. Jack Harris scored the final goal of the night securing the W for his team and a hattrick for himself.

Helena Bighorns 1 @ Gillette Wild 4 - This pairing met the night before and had a nailbiter finish in overtime. The pressure was on for both teams to succeed tonight.  Gillette got the game rolling with a goal from Brock Trboyevich and another from Tristan Baker. Gavyn Galloway worked hard to get the Bighorns on the board with his goal in the second period. This was the only goal that the Bighorns could work past goaltender Connor Sullivan. Final two goals were scored by Nicolas Delli Bovi and Tristan Baker of Gillette Wild.

Sheridan Hawks 13 @ Butte Cobras 3 - Butte started off leading the game with a goal by Kyle Garsio. This lead did not last for very long as the Sheridan Hawks served up a bloodbath. Goaltender Patric Loeffler did a fantastic job tonight as he faced 38 shots and saved 35 of them. He has proven himself to be a great asset to the Sheridan Hawks. Lucas Gudz of the Hawks scored his first goal of the season tonight. Nikita Pinimysov of the Cobras also scored his first goal of the season tonight.

Texas Brahmas 3 @ Texas RoadRunners 2 (OT) - The Brahmas started off this match with a goal from Tyler Blanchard. Then Seth Payson of the RoadRunners tied up the game. Leevie Selanne gained a one goal lead for the Brahmas at the end of the first period. The next bit of action doesn’t come until the third period when Tim Marsico of the RoadRunners ties up the game again. The two Texas teams faceoff in overtime. The Brahmas will be sleeping well tonight thanks to a goal from Blake Rothstein.

Willmar WarHawks 4 @ New Ulm Steel 3 - Close match up tonight with the WarHawks taking home an overtime winner. Owen Thomas of the WarHawks got the first and the  fifth goals of the night. Huston Collins of the Steel scored the 3rd goal of the night which is his first of the season. Ryne Mohman put up his first points of the season as well with the  fourth goal and the OT goal.

Alexandria Blizzard 3 @ North Iowa Bulls 5 - The Alexandria Blizzard put a good fight against the North Iowa Bulls but in the end it was not enough. The Blizzard started off the action with two goals; the first from Carter Rieland and the second from Kaden Peterson. The Bulls must have been ignited by their momentary defeat because they met these two goals with three of their own. These three goals were from Max Savaloja, Garrett Freeman, and Carter Newpower. Trying to keep up Cole Jacobs of the Blizzard found his way to the back of the net. Shutting this effort down the Bulls put in two more goals. The final two goals were produced by Isaac Lindstrom and Garrett Freeman. 

Peoria Mustangs 7 @ Milwaukee Power 1 - Peoria Mustangs swept the weekend against the Milwaukee Power. The mustangs must have been eating their wheaties before this game. They delivered seven goals for and only one goal against. Peoria Mustang goals from: Ethan Chesney, Quinton Murphy, Ibriham Arifi, Connor Bennett, Christopher Kondiles, Cody Hopkins, and Heath Drye. The Milwaukee Power goal was from Maxwell Erstad.

Atlanta Capitals 5 @ Oklahoma City Blazers 4 (SO) - This match up between the Atlanta Capitals and the Oklahoma City Blazer left everyone in the stands shaking with excitement. The two teams were back and forth the whole night. Oklahoma dominated the first period with a two to nothing lead. Atlanta rebuttal in the second period putting up three goals. The third period was very competitive with one goal from Atlanta and two from Oklahoma. No one was able to produce anything during the over time play. After a suspenseful shoot out the Capitals take home the win.

El Paso Rhinos 6 @ Mid Cities Jr. Stars 1- Friday's game was ripped from the hands of El Paso in a shootout against Mid Cities. El Paso was not going to allow that to happen twice in a row. The Rhinos stepped onto the ice tonight as an unstoppable force. Tristan Maestas of El Paso had a hat trick. The other three goals for El Paso were from: Easton Easterson, Cole Schneider, and Hayden Shoemake. The solo goal from Mid Cities was created by Michael Fatta.
