El Paso forward Mulvihill signs NAHL tender
The El Paso Rhinos of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward John Mulvihill has signed a North American Hockey League tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Mulvihill, 19, is in his first season of playing in the NA3HL and second season overall of junior hockey. The 6’1/190 lbs. native of San Juan Capistrano, CA, is currently leading the Rhinos in scoring this season with 46 points (18 goals, 28 assists) in just 28 games played.
So far during the 2020-21 season, Mulvihill has been honored twice as the NA3HL’s South Division Star of the Week.
Mulvihill played his youth hockey in California for both the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and Santa Margarita Catholic High.
He is the first member of the Rhinos to sign an NAHL tender so far this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
