Sheridan defenseman Teasdale makes NCAA commitment
The Sheridan Hawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Jonathon Teasdale has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Buffalo State in the fall.
Teasdale, 20, who boasts experience as a forward and defenseman, played 37 games for the Hawks this season, scoring 10 goals and recording 28 assists for 38 points.
In the postseason, Teasdale played eight games and notched five points, scoring one goal and adding four assists during the Hawks’ championship run that ended in the semifinals.
A two-year veteran of the young Sheridan organization, Teasdale had 44 points (13 goals, 31 assists) in 47 games played with the Hawks during the 2019-20 season.
The 5’8/165 lbs. native of Troy, Michigan played high school hockey for Royal Oak United in Michigan prior to playing in the NA3HL.
The Buffalo State Bengals play in the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
Teasdale’s commitment makes him the fourth player to commit to play college hockey from the Sheridan Hawks. Teasdale joins forwards Blake Billings (Grand Canyon University, ACHA Division I), Justin Schwartzmiller (Concordia University, NCAA Division III) and Nick Wieben (Concordia University, NCAA Division III).
