Willmar defenseman Hallett makes college commitment
The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward/defenseman Tanner Hallett has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for Roosevelt University in Chicago next season.
Hallett, 21, just completed his final season of junior hockey, which was his first in the NA3HL. The 5’11/150 lbs. native of Beaver Dam, WI, recording five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in 32 regular season games during the 2020-21 season.
"Tanner is a player with tremendous skating ability and a high hockey IQ. He played both forward and defense for us last year and is a player with the rare ability to excel at both. With ties to Warroad, MN, we knew we could trust Tanner to play in a wide variety of roles and he did just that. Regardless of the position he was playing he always gave 100% effort and was a phenomenal teammate. We wish him nothing but the best of luck going forward," said WarHawks Head Coach Kirk Olimb.
"We are very excited to bring in a versatile player like Tanner. We see him starting his career here at Roosevelt as a Forward, but we know that he can play any position and that really makes him a huge piece to our program. He is a character person who will bring positive things to the culture of this team," added Billy Karr, Men's ACHA D1 Head Hockey Coach/Hockey Director.
