Sunday Wrap-Up: RoadRunners complete three-game sweep
Mid Cities 1 @ TX RoadRunners 5 – The RoadRunners completed a three-game home sweep of the Stars thanks to 17 saves from goalie Hunter Hein. The Stars led 1-0 after the 1st period with their lone goal from Blake Lind. The RoadRunners stormed back in the 2nd period with four goals from Tim Marsico, Eitan Geralnik, Derek Boutin, and Samuel Bourdon. Jack Herron would complete the scoring with a goal in the 3rd period. Stars goalie Adler Hoagland made 57 saves in the loss.
Bay State 1 @ Long Beach 2 (SO) – Ryo Yamamoto had the lone goal in the shootout to give the Sharks their first win of the season as they beat the Bobcats on Sunday, 2-1. Bay State took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd period with their lone goal from Brian Woak. The Sharks had answer later in the period with their lone regulation goal from Dylan Harbour. Ryo Murakami made 19 saves in the win, while Braeden Bovey made 43 saves in the shootout loss.
Danbury 2 @ Northeast 6 – The Generals opened up a 4-0 lead and never looked back in a 6-2 win over the Jr. Hat Tricks. Braeden Kennedy had two goals and an assist in the win. The Generals took a 4-0 lead midway through the game on goals from Caiden Hess, Sean Gorman, Ayden Frolik and Kennedy. Danbury would respond late in the 2nd period with goals from Cody Hickey and Grant Hanifen. In the 3rd period, the Generals put the game away thanks to another goal from Kennedy and Nolan Murphy. Mason Joseph made 15 saves in the win, while Ryan Dleming made 60 saves in the loss.
