Sunday Box Scores

Northeast 2 @ Long Beach 0 – D’Mar Mccoy stopped all 32 shots faced to grab the shutout win for the Northeast Generals. Nicholas Wracker found the back of the net 4:30 into the 2nd period with help from Ayden Frolik and Sean Gorman. Northeast’s penalty kill unit was able to crucially fend off a five minute penalty midway through the 3rd. Eddie Mulligan sealed the game with an empty net tuck with just over a minute remaining in regulation. Ryo Murakami stopped 30 shots for Long Beach in the loss.

Louisiana 4 @ Mid Cities 5 (SO) – Colton Sebastian scored the game-winning goal in round five of the shootout to receive player of the game honors and give the 5-4 edge to Mid Cities over Louisiana. Kyle Russell put in a goal and two assists for the Jr. Stars and Anfernee Machado chipped in two assists as well. Down a pair of goals with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, Louisiana evened the scores thanks to Tyler Walker and Frank Steinway, his second of the evening. After a scoreless extra period, the Drillers’ late game heroics and 42 total shots proved not to be enough to secure the win at the StarCenter.

Atlanta 0 @ TX Brahmas 10 – Fifteen skaters found the scoresheet for Texas with a dominant 10-0 victory at home. Gion Coray lit the lamp three times for the Brahmas and Erik Vrkoc recorded four assists. Matt Coe, Micah Maldonado, Joey Carollo, and Michael Kramer each had a goal and assist. It wasn’t busy between the pipes for Dolan Gilbert in his shutout, making 9 stops.

Bozeman 3 @ Butte 7 – Midway through the final slate, the Butte Cobras scored three pivotal goals only 3:32 seconds apart, notching their second straight win on Sunday. Fabian Vik recorded a hat trick for the Cobras, his final shooting on an empty net. Luke Schleusner and Carson Streich both buried and contributed a helper. David Hanny, Cade Wessman, and Johan Olsen also had multi-point efforts for Butte. Ian Bowman deposited two and Forrest Musselman buried one for the visitors in their losing effort. Dale Pfannenstein had a stellar 58 save victory, as Liam Scott stopped 49 in the loss.

TX RoadRunners 3 @ Austin 4 (OT) – Just 39 seconds into overtime Lucas Helland scored his 7th of the year on the powerplay to lead Austin to a 4-3 victory, stealing a game back from Texas. After a scoreless first Nicholas Lucas scored for Texas 44 seconds into the middle slate, but Austin carried momentum into the 3rd with two goals from Brody Beahan. Tyler Love took the lead back for the RoadRunners scoring two of his own, but Connor Doyle scored in the back half of the 3rd to bring the game to overtime. Brandon Shantz kept out 34 in the win. Nash Wilson’s 46 stops weren’t enough as he took the loss.
