NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

November 30, 2021

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending November 28, 2021. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. There is no East Division Star of the Week due to no games played in the division. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Ethan Chesney, Forward, Peoria Mustangs

Mustangs forward, Ethan Chesney, recorded 8 points in three games over the weekend. The Elgin, IL native notched 4 goals in a 11-3 win for the Mustangs over the Milwaukee Power on Friday. In game two on Saturday, Chesney picked up two points adding a goal and an assist in a 6-4 to split the weekend with Milwaukee. On Sunday’s game, Chesney added two assists helping his team to a 3-1 win over the St. Louis Junior Blues. Chesney leads the Mustangs in scoring with 31 points (21G, 10A).

East Division Star of the Week: No Games

 

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Tylor Greene, Forward, Helena Bighorns

BigHorns forward, Tylor Greene added big numbers over the weekend helping his team in a weekend sweep over the Sheridan Hawks. On Friday, Greene added two goals and an assist for three points in a 9-1 win. The Colorado Springs native handed out 5 assists in a 15-0 final on Saturday, to total 8 points for himself over the weekend. Greene leads the BigHorns in scoring with 48 points (22G, 26A) on the year.

2nd Star: Daniel Crutcher, F, Great Falls Americans

South Division Star of the Week: Benjamin Mondou, F, Texas Brahmas

Brahmas Forward, Benjamin Mondu, totaled 7 points over the weekend in three games against the Austin Ice Bats. On Friday, Mondu recorded a goal and two assists helping Texas to a 10-1 win. In Saturday's contest, Mondu added an assist in a 3-0 shutout over the Ice Bats. On Sunday, the Montreal, Quebec native scored a hat trick in an 8-0 win. 

2nd Star: Hunter Hein, G, Texas Brahmas

West Division Star of the Week: Kullan Daikawa, Forward, Granite City Lumberjacks

Granite City top forward, Kullan Daikawa, added 6 points under his belt in two games last week. The Lino Lakes, MN native netted two goals and an assist in a midweek win, 7-1, over the New Ulm Steel. In a Saturday showdown with the Alexandria Blizzard, Daikawa mirrored his performance from Wednesday with 2 goals and an assist in another 7-1 victory for Granite City. Daikawa leads the Lumberjacks in scoring with 31 points (13G, 18A). 

2nd Star: Mike Sweetland, F, Wilmar WarHawks
